Running Accomplishments:

I never ran before this last year. But I have run a 5K, a sprint triathlon, and 10K so far this year.

Short-Term Running Goals:

I like running sprint triathlons, 5K and 10K races and hope to be able to run more.

Long-Term Running Goals:

It would be cool to run a 1/2 marathon and I hope to be able to do an Olympic triathlon in the next year or so.

Personal:

I am married with 6 children (4-16), have a house in Washington State and am on temporary assignment in Colorado. I am a chemical engineer working as the plutonium technology lead in building a plant to take apart nuclear weapons. I decided to join this blog by suggestion of Lybi (my sister-in-law). I just started running in January in preparation for a sprint triathlon. Never done anything like it before. I'm a slow swimmer, a OK cyclist, and a decent runner. I have convinced my 7 year old daughter and 10 year old son to run with me occasionally, but I look forward to some encouragement from the blog.
